Dasha Voronova, the Girl Who Covered Her Body With Dozens of Terrible Looking Tattoos

The 30-years-old Yevdokia Voronova can be called a walking tattoo gallery. Half of the girl’s body and even her face are tattooed. Thick dark lines stretch through her arms; a weird cat grins at you from her right arm, while turtles and lizards reside on the shins.

The most shocking fact is that all this “art” Dasha has inked on her body by herself looking in the mirror (including the tattooed “shadows” around eyes). For this risky procedure she used a simple sewing needle, securing her finger with a thimble.

- I’ve always been a special person, who liked to shock others, – says Yevdokia about herself. – I wanted to have some unusual profession, tried to find myself in the field of psychology… The first tattoo that I inked was a cat on my arm. Soon other animals appeared. Later I have elaborated the whole system, which I called the plant graphics. One especially good pattern I’ve got on my left arm is a plant in the jungle grid.

Some of Dasha’s tattoos are quite trivial, like the writing “I’ll not forget my cat Kuzya” or little hearts on the left side of the chest. Her fingers are covered with floral designs in the form of rings (similar to the tattoos of prisoners). Her cheeks are painted with militant symbols, depicting the victory over enemy, like in the tribe of Cherokee. In five years the girl has inked almost half of her body.

- When I was a teen, I liked looking at other people’s tattoos, – tells Yevdokia about her passion. – … and then I also wanted to get a tattoo. To learn the technique, I read some books and decided to make the tattoo by myself. Also because I simply did not have money to pay the tattoo artist. I did it with a sewing needle and the solution of usual ink. It was especially painful to stab the skin around the eyes – I was looking into the mirror, but my eyes were all the time closing and I was afraid to accidentally insert the needle directly into the pupil.

- Men like such exotics, – admits Dasha Voronova. – They often approach me in the street, but I don’t like to get acquainted in such environment. Of course, my parents did not like my body art, but later they got used to it. I think that after fifteen years I’ll get tired of shocking people in this way and will get rid of all the tattoos.
