We have the Article 245 in the Criminal Code – “Cruelty to animals.” It says: “Cruelty to animals, which caused their death or injury if the act is committed … out of greed, … or in the presence of minors … group of persons by prior conspiracy or by an organized group – shall be punishable by a fine of one hundred thousand to three hundred thousand rubles or the salary or other income for a period of one year to two years, or by compulsory works for a period of one hundred eighty to two hundred forty hours, or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years. “
Dog fights have been long prohibited in most countries, except the most wild ones, such as Afghanistan. I wonder why we still continue this medieval barbarism on the territory of Russia?
For example, on November 7 2012, there was the first round of the so-called Championship of the Southern Federal District in dog fighting (modestly called “Tests of Wolfhounds”) held in Abinsk, Krasnodar Krai.

This is disgusting to no end. It bothers me that people around the world still enjoy watching such vicious brutality. If it isn’t dogs, its chickens. If you want to watch a fight, let the humans fight it out … or, better yet, do it yourself.
I don’t want dogs fighting, because I like dogs and we are their friends, but I don’t mind cockfighting because we aren’t buddies and eat them anyway. Excessive concern for the welfare of non-human species is maladaptive and wrong.
Although I am not a dog lover, I hardly could bear to see such violence. So, I’d better skip it.
Given another thought, isn’t the boxing even more cruel?
I don’t know why people can regard it as entertainment when other two people are fighting in blood.
Men’s boxing is somehow understandable, but women’s boxing… eww… and it is Olympic sport now.

Muslims don’t have a place in a developing country. We aren’t in the 4th century.
