John Kerry in the University of Virginia

In his first major speech as a Secretary of State John Kerry has already made one important geopolitical achievement!

He created a new country called Kyrzakhstan, in which according to him United States is “supporting the democratic institutions”.

It seems, however, that besides Global Post few noticed his little mistake.

John Kerry, by the way, can console himself by the fact that he is not the only American politician who has difficulties spelling the names of all the insignificant “Uzbeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stans”

Kerry’s geographical knowledge was duly appreciated by Russian netizens who didn’t miss the opportunity to poke fun at the new Secretary of State in online forums (find some of the comments translated below).
