In this video that went viral on Russian and Ukrainian internet, the mayor of Kharkiv swears at one of his subordinates calling him “son of a bitch”.

Mayor of Kharkiv swears at his subordinates
Speaking in the video is Kernes Gennadiy Adolfovich – mayor of Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine. Curiously enough, he is speaking in Russian (and not Ukrainian) language.
The mayor is addressing Anatoliy Kandaurov – director of the municipal department responsible for elevators and lifts in the city (KharkovGorLift).
This verbal outburst occurred at the emergency meeting of committee investigating the explosion in 9-storied residential building in Kharkiv.
Representatives of media noted that during the committee’s gathering, Kernes was giving loud orders to his subordinates and explaining self-evident things related to the aftermath of the emergency.
It’s not actually clear what was Kandaurov’s fault.

The mayor of Kharkiv, Gennady Kernes has criminal record.
In 1988 he was investigated in relation to the accusations in extortion, fraud and timblerigging (confidence trick involving the game with three shells).

Obviously, it’s not nice to say like this as a mayor. However, nice talk often doesn’t work.
Nothing like a crazy boss, especially a so public one. I know I wouldn’t have put up with it, but who knows what the guy was doing to be verbily bitch slapped. Still rather sad to have done it in a public forum.
It seems that bureaucrats who are glued to their warm chairs are able to put up with all sorts of public humiliation.
This is standard operating procedure in Ukraine, I don’t understand the surprise. Sure, you should watch your mouth when you’re an official that’s being recorded, but I think Ukraine has far bigger problems (like corruption). I would prefer my politicians be themselves, swearing and what have you, and be honest rather than put on a mask when on television, but be as corrupt as Ukrainian politicians.
I think if I had to deal with these people I would swear as well.
There is talk the the Presidents son will be taking over soon as Mayor of Kharkov , has anyone heard this ?
