The tragic mistake which happened in Russia (Pskov Oblast) few days ago could become a scene in some horror movie.
During the autopsy of a 57-years-old man, who was pronounced dead on February 4, the coroner realized that his subject was still alive.

Investigation of man’s death in the morgue in Pskov Oblast
Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Pskov Region is conducting an initial inquiry into the death of a 57-years-old resident of Sebezh district.
According to preliminary reports, the 57-years-old man was pronounced dead on February 4, 2013 . The same day he was brought to a local morgue and placed into refrigerator.
On February 6, 2013 the forensic examination of the corpse revealed that he was still alive when taken to the morgue.
The incident’s circumstances are currently investigated.

During the preparation of the body for an autopsy, a medical examiner found that the man’s heart was still beating. However, the patient could not be saved, he died from hypothermia.
On February 4 doctors were called to the village Ulyanovschina in Pskov Oblast for Alexander G. The man, living in a remote village, had a heart attack and “died” before the arrival of the medical team.
- A local paramedic announced the patient’s death and reported it to the local department. Detectives who arrived to the scene did not find any evidence of violent death. According to relatives, Alexander G. was a drinker and it was apparently the cause of a heart attack, – said the sources from the police department in Pskov Oblast. – After filling all documents, the son of deceased man took his body to the morgue.
Alexander’s body was placed into the cooling chamber, where it stayed until February 6.
- During the autopsy, an expert noticed that the body was not cool. A medical team was urgently called. The patient was injected with insulin and the attempts of resuscitation were made, but he couldn’t be saved, – said from the Sebezh hospital.

In Perm a woman got froze at work and woke up in the morgue
Security guard found a frozen body of 48-years-old Tatiana Fedyaeva and called an ambulance. Medics who arrived to the call took her straight to the morgue. There the woman woke up the next day.
“I remember that I fainted, and when I regained my feelings – I found myself lying naked in the morgue room, and near me were the bodies of the deceased. Thank goodness they haven’t cut me open! I looked around, got up and approached the morgue’s employee; he was shocked to see me”- said Fedyaeva.
The woman was taken from the morgue to the department of cardiology. After inspection it became clear that she was well , and she was allowed to return home.
