It seems that the naked protest against Putin by girls from FEMEN inspired Russian activists to similar actions.

Komsomolskaya Pravda reports:

On March 25 Love Party founded by Alexander Donskoy (head of the Moscow Museum of Erotica) staged an extravagant campaign in defense of the arrested girls from «Pussy Riot».

In response to the statement of Patriarch [of Russian Orthodox Church] that participants of the scandalous “punk-prayer” in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior are “devil’s accomplice” the party activists organized a naked march at the Red Square. After interference of police the protesters went to the central mall where they climbed into fountain.

30 people in total participated in the action, but not all of them managed to strip since police was notified in advance and succeeded to intercept some of the protesters on their way to the Red Square.

Overall, six people were arrested. Four guys and a girl, who bathed in the fountain, were sent to the police station of Kitay-gorod. Another man – Dmitry Medvedev – was detained on his way to the mall and sent to a psychiatric hospital in “Matrosskaya Tishina“.

Police “Tortured” Us

At late night Donskoy sent a text message to the journalist of KP “Thanks to a rapid spread of information about the incident all of detained in Kitay-gorod have been released. Tomorrow we are all going to the Morning Prayer in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Our only concern is the fate of Medvedev – he is still in the ‘nuthouse’ …”

Despite the late hour, we phoned one of the freed guys – 22-year-old Gennady Ivanov. Here’s what he said.

- To be honest, we are still in a state of shock… For ten hours the police literally tortured us and promised to put us in prison for a minimum of seven years. The abuse began immediately after the arrest. We do not think that we committed a crime. We behaved quietly, did not shout, just stood in the fountain and took pictures. Everyone was in underwear, just a girl was topless. Visitors [of the mall] who took the pictures were happy and nobody complained. Then the guards ran to us and, while cursing, demanded that we get out of water. They didn’t say their names and didn’t show the documents… Isn’t this a violation? While we were dressing up, they rudely pushed and shoved us.

<…>

I was calmly answering the questions, but they still treated me like a dog. Whenever I looked away, the guards pulled my hands, pushed me and shouted: “Look at me when I’m talking to you!”

At the same time they still didn’t say their names. Our girl was shaking in fear. They treated her in the same rude way. And the guards were doing all that in front of police officers who arrived and watched the scene. Then we were taken to the police station.

They put us into a “monkey cage” [cell] and called one by one for interrogation. They pushed us, called “prostitutes”, “whores” and “faggots.” [They] repeatedly threatened to put us in prison.

When I asked to go to toilet, the cop on duty responded “Fuck you!” – [they] did not let out even a girl. Tanya cried. The interrogation ended only in the evening. Then they hinted that if we pay 530 rubles, they will let us go. Of course, we agreed. The lieutenant took money and went to give it to someone. We did not receive any receipt. They just told us to sign some papers, returned our clothes and pushed us out…

I don’t remember what papers these were because I only thought how to get out of there. I understood that if I start demanding for explanations, we simply wouldn’t get out. I don’t consider myself a violator. But even if so – is our “hooliganism” (in their opinion) a reason to treat us like pigs? No matter what we did, such attitude is not justified!

Journalist concluded the article with the following words:

What can I say? On one hand, “abuse of authority” for a man in police uniform is a sign of incompetence. On another hand, people fighting for “freedom of expression” should be reminded the old truth: “Your freedom ends where another’s freedom begins.”

Comments of Russian netizens on the naked protest of Love Party

anna:  When [they] climbed into the fountain – they admired themselves, but after two kicks [in ass]… started crying. Pity those kicks came too late. Their parents should do it long time ago to teach them the basic rules of behavior that the only place to get undressed in public is baths. Good that police detained these infantiles – how else could they be stopped? At least they were allowed to dress – better even if they would be driven naked across the city.

Alexey (replying to anna):  Right! Agree with you!

Irina, 32 (also replying to anna):  If you only get undressed in baths – I feel sorry for you))) Well done, guys!!!

ART:  “We do not think that we committed a crime. We behaved quietly, did not shout, just stood in the fountain and took pictures. Everyone was in underwear, just a girl was topless.”
Go to any free democratic country, protest there and bathe naked in fountains. Let’s see how [their] authorities react; at very least – huge fine.

Alla:  Yes, debauch, but just a little bit. When Ukrainian FEMEN [members] jump naked in front of European parliaments, cops just stand nearby and watch that there is no disorder. But DON’T TOUCH!! Hello-o!! People! Nurgaliyev!!! What’s wrong with you, where is the just police?????

protey69:  Abuse of power [by police] in the form of conspicuous vulgarity - is indeed the sign of incompetence.
But the shocking demonstrations in the form of exhibitionism in public places - is also not right in relation to other people.
Public stripping by any woman – is offense to the dignity of all women.
Fountain in GUM [ed: central shopping mall in Moscow] was not set for that purpose.

Igor:  They really don’t understand the “un-freedom”. They should be whipped, even if it’s too late already. How tired I am of these adolescents going insane from boredom with their protests, tits and dances.

Vnimatel:  ” No matter what we did, such attitude is not justified!”

This is where all the mess in heads is from. The humane attitude should be deserved by human behavior.

Tovnimatel (replying to the comment above): So you are human – only towards those who deserved it in your opinion. And who are you towards the rest? Animal?

Alexey:  PEOPLE!!! Come to your senses!!! These young guys didn’t do anything really bad according to the presented information. Why stigmatizing them? OK, bathed, give them towels and let them go home. However, I think something is unsaid here. It doesn’t seem like a usual behavior of [our] police. Now many in police are cautious. Possibly there was video. And something else. These guys have some civil position. They have their own opinion. And you?

xo-xo:  You got what you aimed for, dear… Did you think people would carry you on arms or put red carpet? Should send [you] to Syberia, to mines… And why should I look at your thin asses and tits in the shop?

Natalya:  And what reaction, I wonder, they hoped for? After all, they believe that they live in a terrible country, which suppresses any manifestation of freedom (that’s why they made this action). So, be prepared for rudeness and violence. Or did they think that the guards and everyone around would be disarmed by nudity of their “girl”?

Klara:  Fountains in public places are not for dumbasses to wash their asses… Oh, how cool and brave – to shake the tits)))) As if – here you are!!! How brave we are! ))))) That’s dislocation of brain – stupidity is not courage…

Anonymous:  In police they torture even innocent people – and here is such a motive. What did you expect from cops, anyway?

The Snob:  They at least would go to solarium before the action. And they are pale like dead, and also in such terrible underwear; somehow not glamorous.

XXX:  People don’t like nakedness in our country… But covering yourself with clothes is lies… We dislike our own nature, and pretend that we are different from what we are…

To-XXX (replying to the comment above):  Leave your pervert fantasies for yourself!

Yelena:   —//Тanya cried///—-(that’s in jail). You know, when I read it – I laughed. Why “cried”? She got what she wanted. Would she be brought to jail straight from the bus stop [- I’d understand]. And here….  she’s waving her tits in the center of Moscow, what a feat, tell me! Thanks for not copulating in the fountain. Who will marry such w[hore]… that’s the question. No honor, no conscience, no self-respect. Ptfu!

[Note:  “Ptfu” in Russian is phonetization of spitting]

Sergey:  This time weren’t punished properly, will do it again…

hihi:  Idiots always think that everyone around should be delighted with their acts, and they sincerely don’t understand why it doesn’t happen. That’s why they are idiots.

Yevgeniy:  Dare to do the same in Muslim mosque? There immediately would be torn into pieces or impaled…

VW:  What idiots! “We simply bathed (!) naked (!) in the center of Moscow (!) in the shop (!!!!!!!), and the cops didn’t treat us nicely.”

Kids, you should be responsible for your actions. Such impression, that our youth grows in greenhouses, and then – BOOM – real world.
