On June 10 about five hundred people gathered in Saint Petersburg at the Mars Field for the pillow fight.
According to the rules of flash mob this action was not sanctioned and/or agreed with the city authorities. As a result, 7 people have been detained and taken to the police station.
Under the rules of the new law about protests and demonstrations, the participants of pillow fight might be penalized with a fine ranging from 10,000 to 300,000 rubles [more than 9,000 USD].

Comments of Russian netizens
se_mi: So, how much will they pay now? 300 thousands or what? Well, at least they won’t be put on the bottles of champagne.
zoOoz: And to play soccer in the yard – also need agreement of authorities?
alekssib: If you play in white T-shirts, then definitely need.
[Note: white color became the symbol of protest movement]
knave_s: We have to file stupid requests for approval… such as “want to meet with guys to play football… please, approve” or apply for picnic with BBQ… if many do so – they might understand the idiocy of this situation…
sash_volk_off: Soon every citizen will have to get permission from the mayor’s office to walk in the city: application form, protocol, fingerprints…
moiioqp: We should organize ”laughter” in subway. So that at all subway stations on June 12 at 12:00 everybody would start laughing. That would be a nice flash mob.
[Note: June 12 is the national "Day of Russia". Russian opposition is planning to organize different actions of protest on this day]
attempt3 (replying to the previous comment): Cool )) Then laughter will be forbidden )
Alexandra Stolyarova: I myself was there!
Most guys were detained already after the pillow fight. Some [at that time] were laying on the lawns with pillows under their heads. And then a bunch of ments rushed to us – some of us were driven off and others detained. (And where are the signs forbidding to sit on the lawns of Mars Field? Or is the grass in Petersburg most expensive? More expensive than in Paris!)
It was followed by even more comical situation: just after the pillow fight, when almost everyone had left, two guys and a girl (15 years old) started chasing each other and beat with pillows (not even close to the grass). At one point a cop appeared and began running after them, grabbed the guy and took him away! Since when children are not allowed to play?
gid379 (replying to the comment above): Tonight we strolled in the Mars Field - a lot of people were sitting on the grass, playing badminton on the lawns, drinking kvass. No cops, everything was quiet and calm. Perhaps, the flash mob was seen as a threat… To whom and why? I don’t understand :)
andreyblaze: Putin’s end will be terrible. He will be beaten with pillows! ;-)

The pillow fighting activity looks fun. It reminds of the balloon fighting at Christmas Eve in China and the Water-Sprinkling Festival of the Dai Minority.
I hope that people are not getting arrested for balloon fighting :)
This looks like a lot of fun. Think I might try to start something like this here in the United States.
