Andrei Fateev accused of rapes and robbery is now in coma after being tortured by his cellmates
In Zelenograd the inmate accused of 5 rapes was admitted to hospital in the state of coma with fractured skull and burned genitals.
His cellmates deny any involvement and claim that the man’s injuries are the result of accident. He allegedly fell down from the bed’s top bunk and lost consciousness when other inmates were asleep. As for the burned genitals, this had to be the result of prolonged exposure to the radiator.

In Zelenograd prisoners severely dealt with inmate after learning that he was imprisoned of a series of rapes.
The incident occurred on the New Year’s Eve, but became known to media only on January 11.
The 45-year-old Andrei Fateev has been in jail for six months, awaiting for the trial. He was charged with rape and robbery. However, other inmates knew only about the robbery charges.
Andrei used to wait for his victims near nightclubs sitting in BMW X5. He would offer drunk girls returning from disco to drive them back home. He would then take them to a secluded place and rape under the gun threat.

Fateev’s relationships with other inmates were normal until a rumor spread that the man was convicted of sexual assault. On December 31, 2012 at 5 a.m. Fateev’s cellmates took care of him.
- We received the patient in critical condition, – told doctors of the Clinical Hospital № 3. – He had a head injury, broken ribs and burns of genitals. The patient was urgently operated.
- Investigative Committee is checking the circumstances of this case, – said the head of the jail, Dmitry Konarev. – I can’t confirm that he was beaten by cellmates. To my knowledge, the trauma was self-inflicted.
Police interrogated the inmates. All as one said that they were sleeping that night and did not see or hear anything unusual.
According to doctors, the nature of injuries suggests that Fateev could not inflict them on himself.
Fateev is currently in the state of coma connected to a ventilator. Doctors refrain from making any predictions about his condition.
- We are conducting the preliminary investigation, during which all circumstances of the incident will be checked, – commented the spokesman of Moscow Investigative Department, Sergei Stukalov.

Another interesting aspect of this story is the fact that the man had spent half year in the jail without his cellmates knowing about the rape charges.
But as soon as they learned about it, his fate was sealed.
From this I conclude that for some reason this information was leaked by the prison guards (they know very well what is happening to rapists in Russian prisons).
Additional confirmation for that is the fact that the head of the jail “believed” that the injuries were self-inflicted.
Thats the way justice should be done. If you are a serial rapist, prison isn’t going to fix you. Cutting off your balls, however, will! burning works too ;)
Shame they didn’t wait to make sure he was guilty, but yeah. It happens in many prisons, inmates take take out the ‘trash’ as it were. One of the reasons jails are scary for certain types of people.
