Comments of Russian netizens
nemmerl (replying to the above): Doctors who know what to do, earn in Moscow at least 100 thousand [ed: more than 3 thousand USD per month]. There are private clinics and private practice.Врачи, правильно себя ведущие, зарабатывают в Москве как минимум 100 тыс. Есть частные клиники, есть частная практика.
nikolaushkas (replying to the above): I don’t want to be a doctor “who knows what to do”. I just want to be a doctor as I was taught to be.не хочется быть ‘правильно ведущим себя’ врачом. хочется быть просто врачом, как учили.

Wow, I guess there is a problem with doctors getting payed in Russia. That’s alittle crazy, especially as the comments seem to suggest its a bit widespread….
If they receive their schooling for free then it makes sense that their pay is lower as well. I am sure that they pay goes up quite quickly, otherwise there would be no doctors left in Russia.
The cap as a doctor with, like, 20 years of practice outside of Moscow is 1000$ per month, deal with it. Same with teachers (proffesors in univercities included), police workers, other emergency workers, soldiers etc (basicly everyone who gets paid by government).
If she has no much complains about it, then i eel she’s satisfied with the pay. Most people these days work for the passion and not the pay. But getting peanuts in the name of job passion is not what am encouraging.
Hi I study in Russia and im married Russian citizen too.i wish yo be work as doctor in Moscow.but it’s true I can earn triple in my own country(India)than salary they giving.doctors shouldn’t afford to bribe.whole world respects us for our job.why we should bribe for money?government should think where developing country paying more to doctors why developed country can’t.we spend our whole to serve humanity not to earn by under table.doctors should get the proper money.then better to be a taxi driver…
