Here is another confirmation that homophobia is part of official agenda in Russia. It comes from the Russian embassy in UK which on July 17 published in its official site the following warning [the translation below]:
Snapshot of the post published by the official site of the Russian embassy in UK on 17/07/2012. It warns the families of Russian students going to summer schools, that their children might be hosted by homosexual families.
Russian Embassy in UK Warns…
The Embassy’s Consular Section receives complaints from citizens of the Russian Federation regarding the organizations which send their children to summer courses in the British educational institutions with accommodation in British families.
Thus, children had been put in inappropriate conditions, experienced maltreatment by accommodating families, and some had been denied food. There have been cases of the child’s expulsion from school due to minor violations of the daily routine; there are examples of children’s accommodation in the families of homosexuals.
But the organizations sending children to study at summer schools did not warn the parents about the difficulties faced by their children and refused [to deal with] parents’ complaints and requests.

sumlenny (replying to the above): Even if the embassy was not immune – [suing] based on this text would be unlikely.Даже если бы посольство было не имунно – по данному тексту вряд ли.
sturman: You are already totally fucked up in your europes.Вы там в своих европах совсем охуели
sart (replying to the above): I wouldn’t allow the younger [daughter] since she wouldn’t cope with it without the parental advice. And the elder – why not? What can happen?Ну младшую бы не отдал, без родительского опыта бы не справились. А старшая – почему бы и нет? Что может произойти такого?

I wonder why gay rights have become something of a civic religion in Western countries? And among some Russians such as the blog’s author – who happens to live in Germany, surprise surprise – who spend an unhealthy amount of time there?
Hard to say how “gay rights have become something of a civic religion”.
But I think that the attitude to gays is a good litmus test of society’s civility.
Even in Russian slang the word “pederasty” found itself connected to the words “liberalism” and “tolerance” (forming “liberasty” and “tolerasty” correspondingly).
Shame / social opprobrium is a highly effective and historically proven way of disincentivizing socially harmful activities such as sodomy, welfare dependency, single motherhood, petty criminality, and many others. Call it a lack of civility if you please, though in my humble opinion it’s sooner the opposite, but what is so B-A-D about it?
To say the truth, I have never given much thought to these questions.
I have never seen any harm or threat from homosexuals (though there are not so many of them of whom I know for sure that they are homosexuals).
Maybe – just like other people were socially conditioned to be homophobic, I was conditioned to be “homophilic” (if there is such word).
I simply feel that there is something inherently wrong with ostracizing 10% of humanity for something that is harmless.
Yes, I would NOT be happy if my daughter or son appeared to be homosexual. But I really wish that they could live in society which would not make them suffer for who they are.
Again, you’re making deeply flawed assumptions, this time confusing “socially-harmful acts” with “acts you find shameful”. While shame can be a fine tool for limiting anti-social behaviors, many socially-neutral/-beneficial behaviors are targets of ridicule simply due to tradition and superstition (gays being an excellent example). Homosexuality is simply two people engaging in sexual acts which occasionally lead to stable, long-term coupling. This behavior is universally recognized as beneficial when practiced by heterosexuals, especially since it provides a foundation for the most basic unit of society (e.g. the family).
Since homosexual couples have repeatedly demonstrated themselves as capable of raising children as heterosexual couples (in modernized areas, of course, where the children are not preyed on, due to their parant’s sexuality) there is no reason to object to the practice outside of squeamishness and superstition. In fact, there’s ample reason to *encourage* pair-bonding between homosexual adults. It also follows that, since opprobrium towards a beneficial act benefit is a negative-sum behavior (and thus anti-social), homophobia is an anti-social activity, deserving of criticism and censure.
Finally, as a heterosexual male who’s engaged in non-reproductive sexual acts with heterosexual females, I’ve got to say that sodomy is entirely enjoyable, and the idea that you’re lumping it in with petty criminality is… well, you’re obviously missing out.
TL;DR: Homosexuality is not socially harmful, and if it isn’t socially harmful, and doesn’t involve you, how is it your business to interfere with other people’s lives?
AK, pardon the intrusion, but I found the cultural logic here so fascinating that I could not avoid commenting. Anyway, the error you’re making is that there are no such thing as “gay rights”. The phrase implies that homosexual people are gaining a special set of rights or privileges under the law. In fact, all that’s happening is that the civil rights enjoyed by heterosexuals are being extended to gays, as extraneous legal frameworks preventing certain types of marriages are being repealed.
To provide a point of comparison, interfaith marriages and interracial marriages were once illegal in many countries due to special restrictions being imposed by government. People now believe such barbarity has no place in civil society, and so such special legal frameworks have been dismissed. Now this civilizing frame of mind has been extended to gays, who are now being liberated from undue and extraordinary categorization under the law.
TL;DR: It’s more about extending human rights to gays. Since we’re not obsessing over ways of making gay people unhappy, everyone have more free time. Progress!
Well, first of all, I don’t really care about homos. I was for many years visibly supportive of gay rights – including condemning the likes of Luhkov for his homophobia, an act that seemed upright and proper at that time which I now rightfully feel sorry for – but then got turned off by the aggression and histrionics of their leading “activists” (suffice to say the image of a naked men sodomizing himself with a dildo in front of dozens of admiring onlookers at a pride festival I stumbled onto while out in town is seared into my memory) as well as by the realization of some elementary facts such as that sodomy isn’t only disgusting but also about 10x more dangerous in terms of STD’s than the conventional kind we normal people prefer. I am sorry to hear of you enjoy it. I can barely fathom why. If it’s that hole you might as well screw a dude? ?? In any case, it is clearly of social benefit to discourage the practice.
The issue, of course, – and one that took me far too long to realize – is that the homosexual agenda is feminism’s bedfellow (“all men are rapists”, obesity apologism, etc). Being a red-blooded straight men is progressively becoming criminalized in the West and Assange is only the most visible poster child of this process. Feminism as it is practiced today is of course a very harmful concept and inconsistent with the longterm survival of high civilization because the liberated woman will only screw with alpha jerks and not the beta providers who actually build civilization. Disillusioned, many of them turn to homosexuality and indeed the growing popularity of this lifestyle is an understandable if defeatist response to the elementary fact that half of the female mating pool in the US is inaccessible to the average male, a beta, either because of obesity (among less educated women), or because they are feminists (among better educated women) – and feminists would rather ride the alpha cock carousel than love the supplicative, female-worshiping beta that every feminist actually despises despite all her protests to the contrary.
This is the biopolitical and sociosexual reality that we live in. Homintern is just one facet of it and more symptom than cause. That is why I do not bother attacking it and am now more indifferent to it than anything else. That said swallowing the red pill has made me cognizant that the Russian (Chinese, etc) instinctive position on homosexuality is in fact the correct one and not the culturally Marxist position inculcated by postmodern Western elites and that is why I am no longer in the least bothered by social opprobrium directed towards homos as I once regretfully was. Sucks for them I guess, but then again nobody is asking them to brazenly flaunt it. On the other hand these “homophobic” attitudes which prevail in Russia are a defensive reaction mechanism against attacks on the sociosexual underpinnings of civilization… and trying to demonize this reaction is only something a civilization-hating liberal would do.
