This week the men’s magazine Maxim announced the top 100 sexiest Russian women.
In this post I will skip the places 100 to 11.
But before getting to the first 10 positions, I’d like to note that Nadezhda Tolokonnikova from “Pussy Riot” has been featured in the 18th place!
Top 10 Sexiest Russian women
10. Anna Sedokova
Anna Sedokova is originally from Ukraine. She was a member of the “golden group” in the Russian-Ukrainian pop project “VIA Gra” (from 2002 to 2004). Currently Anna lives in California where she studies acting in the Hollywood studio.
9. Tatiana Kotova
Tatiana Kotova was Miss Russia 2006 and represented Russia both in Miss World 2007 and Miss Universe 2007.
Like Anna Sedokova, Kotova also sang in “VIA Gra” in the years 2008 to 2010.
8. Irena Ponaroshku
Irena is a popular TV host. Currently she is a VJ on the channel “MTV Russia”. Her father is a former Minister of Education of Russia.
7. Liza Boyarskaya
Elizaveta Boyarskaya is an actress herself, daughter of famous Russian actors (both father and mother) and is married to an actor!
6. Irina Shayk
Irina Shayk is the famous model and does not need a special introduction for the foreign audience – since she appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2007-2012.
5. Ravshana Kurkova
Kurkova is the Russian-Uzbeki actress. Like Liza Boyarskaya she also comes from the family of actors and was married to an actor.
4. Oksana Akinshina
Akinshina is an actress. She started acting at the age of 13. Had an episodic role in the movie “The Bourne Supremacy”.
3. Natalia Vodianova
Vodianova is the Russian top-model and philanthropist. She has done catwalks for the most prestigious fashion houses and was the face of L’Oreal Paris. This year she came in 3rd place on Forbes top-earning models list.
2. Yulia Snigir
Yulia Snigir is an actress, model and TV host. She has a pedagogical education and for some time had worked as a teacher of English language in Moscow school.
1. Vera Brezhneva
The winner – Vera Brezhneva – is a singer from Ukraine. Like the other two girls from the list she was a member of the pop-group “VIA Gra” from 2003 to 2007.

Since the list contains 3 girls who at different periods sang in “VIA Gra”, it will be appropriate to present you one of their songs – “Don’t ever leave me love” (2003). In it you can spot Anna Sedokova and Vera Brezhneva. By the way, the third singer in this clip Nadezhda Granovskaya (the brunette) also made the top-100 in 68th place.

I like Sedokova (no. 10) – both now and 9 years ago (in the video).
I have had this thing for Irina Shayk for some time now. Not really sure why. None the less, how do you pick the hottest? Its such an arbitrary title.
“Hottest” – that’s how Maxim defines them. Though sometimes they use the word “sexiest”.
As for the choosing procedure – they have some jury + votes of readers (which is similar to Eurovision).
I think it’s a shame that Granovskaya is in 68th place, and that Irena Ponaroshku is in 8th. I’m subjective maybe, but really men…she is so plain to me
Last year Granovskaya was in 40-th place (so, she dropped 28 positions).
To say the truth (and I am subjective, too) she looks older than her age.
In the video, for example, she was just 21 years old. Did she really look that age??
Yes, I agree, she looks older. That’s not good I suppose. But I think the whole thing is not about their age, but about personality and beauty and sex appeal. I just try to imagine Ponaroshku in that video, instead of Granovskaya, between Brezhneva and Sedokova. Pathetic to me. She is a very nice girl of course, but definitely not 8th place here. Sorry, just my opinion, I don’t want to offend anyone.
Number 5 and 6 are the hottest..

Number 7 is my favorite. Not only is she hot, but also very beautiful.
Sexy and cool are the features of Number 10 in my opinion.

#9 is the prettiest in my opinion. Amazing to see other’s takes on it. Either way, was fun seeing images from another country’s Maxim. Is funny that a girl from Pussy Riot made it.
