Activists of “Russian People’s Council” are sure that this package of milk is the open propaganda of homosexuality
Such kind of news [ru] is usually reported on April 1… unless it comes from Russia.
Yesterday (September 28) the Prosecutor General’s Office received an official complaint from the public organization – “Russian People’s Council“. Its activists accused Wimm Bill Dann (food company specializing in dairy products) in promotion of homosexuality.
Reason: packages of milk and yogurt contain the image of rainbow, which according to the head of People’s Council is “the universal symbol of LGBT movement and therefore is the open propaganda of vice“.
Complaint was filed by the Saint-Petersburg section of the organization. It should be noted that in the beginning of this year Saint Petersburg passed the law banning propaganda of “sodomy, lesbianism, bisexuality or transgenderism among minors”. In its current draft the violation of this ban is punishable by fine.

In my opinion, activists of the People’s Council missed another important detail in the evil plot of Wimm Bill Dann.
It turns out that the name of the product line for which the pervert package was produced is “Весёлый Молочник” in different versions translated as “Jolly Milkman” or “Merry Milkman”.
Are we sure, however, that the copywriter didn’t mean “Gay Milkman” and what exactly the consumption of this product can do to the minors?
Let’s see, however, how Russian netizens reacted to this news…
Reactions of Russian netizens

Макс (replying to the above): Lyuba, it might seem strange for you, but not in all countries it is accepted to divide the rainbow spectrum into seven colors. Люба, возможно для вас это покажется странным, но не во всех странах принято выделять семь цветов в радуге.
[ Note: in Russian slang the word "blue" is synonym of "gay" ]

I am at a loss of words.
I can’t imagine that someone would sue for such thing.
Is it serious?
Unfortunately it is serious.
The news was reported in many other media outlets as well.
If there is any follow-up to the story, I will update the post…
That is insane. Banning something that occurs in nature just because other people use it for their symbol. It truly does leave me as well with a loss for words….
“Russian People’s Council“ idiots, now everyone will know how looks homosexual symbol.
About five years ago in Poland the Children’s Ombudsman decided to investigate whether the character of Tinky Winky promoted homosexuality. I wonder what would have happened if he decided it did.
Oh, I myself remember the talks about blue Teletubby being a gay personage.
Wait!
In Poland “blue” is also synonym for “gay”?
